	Install gates to prevent children from playing on stairs and to keep them out of unsafe places.
	Install appropriate gates at the bottom and top of stairs.
	Do not use accordion style gates as they can easily catch and pinch little fingers.

	Make sliding glass doors visible by placing high-visibility decals on them. Install locks on windows and sliding doors to prevent them from opening at the wrong time.
	Do not leave windows open more than 4 inches (10 cm).
	Use cord cleats to reduce the risk of serious injuries (strangulation and choking) by securing venetian blinds and other loose cords.
